Activities
Butler offers more than 140 student organizations with activities ranging from religious and spiritual to service-oriented and political. Over 94% of students are involved in campus activities and 69% participate in community service.

Butler University’s 290-acre campus is located just five miles from downtown Indianapolis, the 12th largest city in the United States.
Areas of Study
Over 60 areas of study are offered in six academic colleges: Business, Communication, Education, Fine Arts, Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

Placement Rates
Overall placement rate averages 94% including 33% of graduates who go on to graduate or professional school. Pharmacy, physician assistant and education graduates have a 100% placement rate.
Athletics
You may have heard about our men’s basketball team in the past year or two, but did you know that Butler has 19 varsity sports? Except for football, all compete in the NCAA Division I Horizon League. Football participates in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).
